earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Affiliate links are marked
rel="sponsored" and, where they appear as ad units, are labeled
Sponsored or Featured dealer.
Money Metals pays for the featured placement on the Deals page. It does not pay for, review, or approve editorial content, and it does not get a better ranking in the daily deal tables — those are sorted purely by premium over spot. If a competitor is cheaper on a given day, the competitor is listed first.

How the Deals Page Works
The Deals page is generated by an automated script that reads public product pages at APMEX, JM Bullion, and SD Bullion once a day and ranks products by premium over spot. Some caveats worth knowing:
- Prices go stale. They are a snapshot from the morning refresh. Dealers change prices intraday, and spot moves constantly. Always confirm the live price on the dealer's own site before buying.
- The listed price is rarely the price you pay. Advertised prices usually assume a specific payment method. Card payments typically cost more than check or wire, and shipping and taxes are extra.
- Coverage is partial. Only three dealers are checked, and only products their pages expose. A cheaper price almost certainly exists somewhere this script does not look.
- Scraping breaks. If a dealer changes their page layout, a product can be mispriced or dropped entirely. Report anything that looks wrong.
How Articles Are Researched and Written
Ounce by Ounce publishes two kinds of posts, and they are made differently.
- Video companion posts accompany an episode of the Ounce by Ounce YouTube channel and reflect my own opinions, purchases, and mistakes. They embed the video they came from.
- Daily news posts are drafted with AI assistance against published reporting, then filed under my editorial direction and standards. Every factual claim in these posts has to trace to a named source, and those sources are listed at the bottom of each article so you can check the numbers yourself. Where a figure could not be verified against a source, it was cut rather than published.

My Own Position
I own physical gold and silver. That is the entire reason this site exists, and it means I am not a neutral party — I am talking about an asset I hold. I do not hold, and am not compensated to promote, any specific miner, streamer, ETF, or token. I have no financial relationship with any mint.
